About Michael Shubert & Associates (MSA Productions)


MSA L.L.C. is a comprehensive event management company and a creative haven for designers and technicians who provide expertise in coordination, art direction, lighting, sound, video, set design and catering, individually or as a team.


We design and execute all production elements for corporate business meetings, awards shows, theme events, trade shows, fundraisers and concerts, and bring to the drawing board a unique perspective and enthusiasm that makes us a valuable solutions alliance.

Michael Shubert
President, MSA / Executive Producer
Michael has been designing innovative production environments for 30 years and continues to create distinctive looks for a varied and long-standing clientele in corporate, music and special events industries. As a technical director and lighting designer, Michael creates corporate events all over the world and has numerous national award ceremony stage and lighting designs to his credit.


The culmination of Michael’s expertise has pulled him into the installation market, where he currently has several major projects underway. A renowned music industry production manager, he continues to answer pleas for a ‘hired gun’ on high-end shows. Michael oversees MSA corporate operations while continuing to personally produce and design many events.


Guy Conger
Partner, MSA / Production Manager, Lighting Designer

Guy brings to MSA more than 10 years experience designing and staging events of all sizes. His artistry originates from an early background in theatrical lighting design, and includes ongoing relationships with the Ballet Pacifica and the Civic Light Opera of the South Bay Cities in Southern California. An accomplished moving light programmer, Guy has created innovative environments for large-scale events and a variety of clients including Walt Disney Imagineering.


Mark Matzkanin
Lighting Designer / Programmer
Mark is a lead programmer for national product roll-outs, trade shows and exhibitions for many MSA clients. An accomplished lighting designer, Mark is known for his work in theatre and for his innovative corporate awards show looks.


Curtis Kelly
Audio Engineer
With 20 years experience mixing sound, Curtis specializes in creating systems to accommodate the unique needs of musical acts, industrial shows, corporate theatre, business seminars, meetings and special events.


Jamie Morris
Camera Op, Video Director
A veteran cameraman for 15 years, Jamie has numerous corporate clients and music tours to his credit. His crossover work as a video director has made him a favorite with many long-standing clients. Jamie is also a certified rigger.


Chris Morrison
Video Editor / Show Control
A wide-ranging, 15-year career in audio engineering provided Chris a comprehensive perspective when he began editing video for corporate theatre more than a decade ago. An accomplished architect on the Media 100 editing system, he creates engaging production and candids video modules for corporate clients across the country. Chris also programs multi-media formats for corporate programs and in 1992 became recognized as a certified Dataton Wizard.
